Le service hospitalier à Londres!

        



Alors pour continuer dans le bon vieux temps nous sommes allés visiter un musée qui traitait des débuts de la chirurgie. En fait ils ont fait ce musée dans un amphithéatre où on pratiquait les opérations et les étudiants venaient assiter pour prendre des cours. Bon en y allant on ce dit ça va être moins morbide que la prison, mais en faite pas tant que ça!!! lol Au début tout les meubles était en bois et il n'y avait pas du tout d'hygiène. En faite chaque patient était un nouveau test!! Souvent quand on disait aux gens qu'ils allaient se faire opérer ils avaient pas trop envi car ils savaient que c'était pas vraiment une bonne nouvelle! En plus souvent quand vous aviez une blessure à un membre on se prennait pas la tête on amputait direct!! Sans anesthésie bien sur et sans laver les outils entre les patients ça fait perdre du temps!! D'ailleurs ils se chronométraient pour aller le plus vite possible, le record était de 37 secondes pour amputer une jambe!!! Bah c'est plus long que ça ne parait!! Sur la dernière photo vous pouvez voir les moyens high tech qu'ils avaient en l'occurence la table d'opération. Mais quand même avant de couper il leur filait un ptit coup de gnole pour avoir du courage!!!lol

So in order to stay in the olden time we went to a museum which was about the beginning of surgury. Indeed they made a museum in an old amphitheater where the doctors did surguries and students came to look at it and learn. At first when we went there we thought that it would be a less dealdy museum than the prison but no so much!!! lol At first all the furnitures were made of wood and the hygiene was no really accurate. Each patient was a new test!! Often when they told someone that he would need surgury he didn't really want to because it wasn't really a good news! Besides often when you hurt one of your lumb they amputated straight!!! Of course without anestesy neither cleaning the tools between each surgury, it was a waste of time!!! Indeed, they timed themselves in order to go as fast as possible, the record was 37 seconds to amputate a leg!!!! It's longer than what it seems!! On the last picture you can see the high tech furniture with the surgury table. But you must know that before the amputation they gave the patient something to drink to give him courage!!! lol
